Some people think that being a model is all about just being pretty, but its so much more! You work hard at honing your craft, at developing your living art form, and you deserve photographers who want to celebrate your hard work! Here at Dragon and the Butterfly Studios, we love working with fellow creatives and spend most of our wedding downtime with local models (so we know a thing or two about what we do here!). Models are among some of the most creative people we know, and we love creating magic with fellow artists!
Whether you are just looking to update your portfolio, have a concept that you want to see to fruition, or are brand new to the modeling game, working with us is a breeze! We are some of the best hype-girls you will ever meet, and we strive to really help you do your best, so that we both can create something truly epic. We love to teach, so if you're new or just a little rusty, don't you worry! We may not be models, but we have years of experience in directing models (and we serve as models for each other when needed), so we can say with confidence: We've got you.
Our Modeling sessions start at $125 an hour, the basic package includes:
Professional edits worthy of your portfolio and social media
a minimum of 15 digital images
Basic image retouching
Extra hours, studio time, hair and makeup, and more can all be added to your session to really showcase your abilities should you desire. You can even bring other models and turn your session into a group session for just $40 more an hour per model!
Hit that "Let's Talk" button and lets getting your session started!
Whether you're new to this business or a seasoned veteran, you've inevitably heard the phrase "TFP." TFP is the active collaboration between a model, photographer, and a potential photo team (I'm talking hair, makeup, designers, etc) to create in exchange for only services and nothing monetary for the benefit for all portfolios involved. Its also a fantastic networking opportunity!
It never hurts to ask (especially if you ask really nicely), but we are very selective about the TFP concepts we agree to. We will only ever consider TFP requests if we have the free time and desire to take on TFP work. Any TFP requests must also have a concept attached (as you can see on our request form) or else they will not be considered.
If you are desiring strictly TFP for monetary reasons, we do offer payment plans! All you simply have to do is request it, or ask to discuss a payment plan!
If you are desiring TFP because it's TFP and you do not have a concept: hey, we don't blame you! TFP is the literal BEST when you're starting out. However, if you do not have a concept, I do suggest smashing that PROJECTS tab in the menu. The projects tab holds current and past projects that are available for TFP application. With most of our projects, we have a specific image in mind that we are trying to create and thus have very specific requirements for each available slot, which will be listed on the project page. Active projects, or projects we are looking for participants for, will have an option to apply to be a part of. If you like the concept provided, please feel free to apply for that project! Projects that are unavailable to further application, because the slots have been filled, the project is in the process of being completed, or the project has been completed and is on display, an option to apply will not be available.
