Hey there! I'm Ali and I started this company originally as an etsy craft store for my sister and I (cool fact: Dragon and the Butterfly was supposed to represent the two of us working together. You'll never guess which one I am). Im passionate about photography because that's what I've always associated with memories. Pictures allow us to relive our memories, even those we thought we had forgotten. As we move through the story that is our lives, pictures are what mark the chapters and let us look back. A few fun facts about me:
-Im a historical reenactor! My group reenacts the 'viking' era through clothing and historical based combat. -My first passion was story telling and writing, which I try to incorporate every chance I get. What are we if not stories, right? - I LOVE animals. My husband and I have 3 dogs and a cat (my cat lives with my mom though, since he's 20) -I started taking pictures on one of those old barbie cameras of my dolls as a child. It made me skilled with large group photos. -That red mark on my forehead is a cool birthmark, not an unfortunate curling iron incident. Though there was that one time when I was three, I burned myself on my birthmark and no one believed me because it stayed the same color... -Im a GIANT freaking nerd. If my Chewbacca camera strap doesnt give that away, my personality certainly will. -I'm a part of an Unusual movie club, where we watch some really weird movies and discuss them. So far, my favorite has been "Cannibal! The musical." -I can be a massive klutz, and I'm not ashamed of it! If you look closely at this picture, you can see where we had to bandage my finger cause I tried to slice it off with a cheese grater only a few days before this scheduled session. But not to worry: that's the worst thing I've done in a while. Tripping is usually my main lack of grace these days. - I can be a stereotypical Midwesterner sometimes. See if you can count how many times I say 'ope' during your session!
I love to make people laugh, and in turn laugh myself. I want to capture the real versions of people, even if they aren't the prettiest or the most perfect moments of ourselves. I just think it's hard to tell our story if the pictures don't show the truth, and usually its the imperfect images that we all love the most. Which, I'll have you know, as an artist who is also a perfectionist, is a very hard truth to accept. But my favorite images will always be those '90's Polaroids of my family, so I've no room to complain.
That's enough of this ramble. Catch my ramble show live by smashing that 'contact us' button!

Hey guys! Candi here!! I joined Ali on this adventure in 2017, but I've been at this for a while. I'm passionate about photography because I LOVE to capture moments that are genuine. To see the happiness and excitement in peoples eyes when they are being who they are. I live by the philosophy that memories fade, but photos don't. And they can make the memories fresh again just by seeing a particular moment in time. Some fun facts about me! -I was born in KCK but grew up a military brat for most of my life. I have lived all over the U.S. and Spain and loved it all! -I have 5 brothers, no sisters, but Ali is like my twin and so I consider her my sister from another mista -I live with my wonderful husband Kevin, who HATES having his picture taken... go figure!! - We have 4 cats AND 4 dogs! It is a little wild in my house at times but very entertaining and always loving! -I have been doing photography off and on since I was in high school -I also love to crochet, sew, binge TV series and play video games, so if I'm not out shooting (with my camera) I'm most likely doing one of those. - I love to joke around and make people laugh. Trust me, my laugh is infectious and I will keep you entertained!
